Valentine’s Day is an annual festival that takes place in many corners of the world, marked on February 14. The beauty of Valentine is that it continues to honor love ever since 200 years ago and up until today. It is not only celebrated between couples, but also among friends, neighbors and families. While Valentine's Day is much admired in many nations, diverse societies have built up their own conventions around this celebration. In a few sections of the world, Valentine's Day is seen as a day for communicating love between relatives and companions. A few conventions include leaving lollipops and presents for kids, and others opt to express romantic love to their partners.
At Phoenicia University, The Communication Society decided to honor love by distributing flowers, cookies, and letters to PU’s staff members, instructors, as well as to students’ loved ones and friends. It was a golden opportunity to reconnect and express love.
Nonetheless, we should never forget that love is always around us, and everyday ought to be a Valentine’s Day. Everyday should be a great opportunity to let people love, help, and cherish one another. Never underestimate the impact that you can add to someone else’s life because one single word or act can influence another’s mood for the day.
Dear PU students, may your days be filled with marvelous love, non-stop laughter, and extreme joy. Wishing you a day as beautiful as you are!
With loads of love and raspberry macaroons,
