On October 27, 2018, the Society of Architecture and Design at Phoenicia University had the opportunity to attend the Arab Architects Awards and learn about different projects done by students from a range of schools of architecture in Lebanon.
The event mainly included architects from a number of Arab countries who presented their projects in front of judges and a diverse audience. The projects displayed were divided into different categories such as religious, rehabilitation, touristic and recreational, and public buildings.
Moreover, we had the opportunity to meet some of the presenters in a live interview and ask them questions regarding their designs and the challenges they faced during the construction process. In addition, the program included booths displaying projects of senior students from numerous universities in Lebanon. We managed to converse with them and to listen to their experiences and what they had to say about their journey in the field.
Soon enough, architecture students from PU will graduate and take part in such events. We will be able to demonstrate and share our creative perspectives to other potential professionals in this domain.
